Thank goodness this wasn't an ice storm like 2 years ago but it sure made traveling bad. All the sleet, freezing rain and ice pellets started Monday afternoon. Of course Monday was a very busy day for us at work, so I didn't get out of there until 4:45 and traffic was terrible. Roads were becoming bad and 2 hours later I arrived home. Don't think I ever got above 35 mph and on some parts of 13 it was 5 miles an hour. Traffic was backed up terribly. I was SO HAPPY to finally get home. Figured that there would be no way to go to work on Tues. morning. Got up at my usual time and there was no traffic at all. Usually a few cars go by going to work, but nothing. I was waiting until about 6:15 to call and tell Tamra I wasn"t coming in but she beat me to the draw. She made the decision to close the clinic, so that was a blessing. Even school and colleges in Springfield closed down for Tues and Wed. so it has to be bad for that.
Feel like I just wasted the day yesterday but I caught up on sleep. Guess the weather was just depressing so most of the day I slept. Feel better today so must have needed that day of rest. Don't know if I will have the boys today or not. Josh has been sick with the flu. Need to go ahead and get my shower just in case. Sarah gets off work today at 11 or so and will pick them up then if I have them. We need a few things from Bolivar but don't know if we will go this afternoon or not. Suppose to have some sunshine so that will be good.
Thats about all from the land of ice and snow. Be glad when spring gets here. Tired of cold yucky weather.
All my tests from my Dr.'s visit came out GOOD. Went to see the foot Dr. and I have surgery scheduled for the 24th of April for my right foot. Will be off 4 to 6 weeks and then have to wait another 3 months to get the left foot fixed. But, it will all be worth the pain to have no more hammer toes or no more bunions that hurt everytime you walk. Will use up all my extended sick time but well worth that to have feet that don't hurt anymore. Heridity plays a part in that and girls you are likely to have to go through the same thing. SORRY!
Got a letter from the VA yesterday that they are still processing Lon's claims. So at least it wasn"t bad news. Just really no news.
Shower time. Gotta get this old body cleaned up and clothes on. Housefits just don't cut it all day long. LOL
