It is cold and there is still ice and a little snow. Didn't get as bad as they thought but school has been closed since Monday here. Think I have the boys today but not for sure. There is a big jewelery sale at the hospital today and would love to go because it is payroll deduct but not sure if I want to take the boys. Wish Lon would go with me to look so he could watch the boys but I dont think I will ask.
Think that we are going to have Christmas Eve get together. Not sure if Josh will be off but think that it will work out the best for all of us to be together. Then I plan on going to the 11:30 church service at Bolivar. Think that will make Christmas good. Don't know about breakfast. May be brunch at Gmas and it may just be Meg, Buffy and Kyle, Lon and myself and Gma and Gpa. Sarah and family have things to do etc. with other side of the family. So we will see how it all pans out. Think that we will do sandwiches and chips and dip and lots of goodies. That should be a good thing.
Gotta get in the shower and get cleaned up. Gotta get the scrap room clean because you can barely walk through it. Thought Meg could sleep there Christmas Eve and maybe Kyle and Buffy will stay with us on the hide a bed if they go to church with us late christmas eve.
Finally got the tree put up. Wow good for me!!!

The final thing for Thanksgiving was giving Chesi a haircut. She holds real still until you do her toenails. Buffy and I ended up with some major cuts from her fighting us. But she was all nice and pretty. We will do a little trim on her before she moves into her new apartment.
There is a long story to this picture. The table with the desserts was close to the bathroom. We were all talking when Gpa came out of the bathroom and didnt see him go to the dessert table. Well in his hand was glorified pumpkin pie but we couldnt see that's what it was and it looked like......well you know what! We had a great laugh about that!

Bad storm coming will it or won't it
We went shopping today in Spfld and had to go by and see Buffy's hand with her ring on it. Like her fellow employees said "She is glowing." She was and looked so happy. Good for our little baby girl.
Gma came over this afternoon and I got the hair off her face and cut and styled her hair. Looks good now. Gma brought Thanksgiving pictures so as soon as I down load them I will get them posted. Just a few but at least someone was thinking!
We are suppose to have it all tonight, rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow. So wonder if it will be bad in the morning or not. It was 60 degrees today and suppose to get 13 tonight. Right now it is about 38 degrees by the thermometer on the deck. My feeling is if it is going to do it make it bad enough so I don't have to work tomorrow. That would be fantastic.
Got a very nice gift from my cousin Bonnie. She mailed out already stamped and addressed Christmas cards with a wonderful letter. What a great idea. Very thoughtful. So I typed her a long letter and updated her on what each of the family members were doing. Think I typed 8 or 9 pages.
Well just a quick update. Still wondering will it or won't it. Gotta go wrap a few more presents and get to bed in hopes that it is bad enough that I don't have to go face Monday at the office.

IT IS NOW OFFICAL
Family and friends let me be the first to say CONGRATULATIONS to Kyle and Buffy on their engagement last night. From the way I heard it they went to dinner and when they came home Kyle had Buffy's friend light candles and put rose petals all around and a beautiful bouquet of daisys and he proposed. Buffy said she cried. How awesome and romantic. I give you a million kuddos Kyle for making it so romantic and special. They have a date June 26 2010. So, family you know what that means....everyone pitches in to make this a fabulous wedding, the kind that Buffy wants. I do know that the flowers will be gerber daisies. So we will have so much to celebrate come Christmas.
Okay the old mom did not take even one picture on Thanksgiving. It was sort of messed up but the food was good and the family enjoyed it and we had a good time. So, will just have to make up for it come Christmas. Take twice the amount of pictures.
I called Gpa for his birthday yesterday and evening and where do you think he was? 3 guesses and the first two dont count. No not the legion or the elks......On his way with Jr to the boats in Kansas City. Now how many guessed right????? Doing what he wants to do and that is great.
Been a busy month so far and I still haven't decorated for Christmas. If I get a tree up I will feel that I have done something. We'll see. Not sure yet if Gma is going to do the breakfast thing or not. I know I will have to help on that one. I do know that it would be nice to sit around a table big enough for us all, but I have become this stay at home person and want to be at home on my own turf if I am going to have to cook. Obessive compulsive that way.
We had our office luncheon at a Japanese Steak place out on National past Republic Road. It was good and we had a pleasant time. Our reservations were for 12:30 but it was almost 1:30 by the time we got there. We were freaking busy Friday morning and Leah Ann was sick so that meant we had to do our own labs. And of course almost everyone of them had labs. She was sick Wed. Thurs. and Friday. So you can imagine how busy I was on Thurs and Fri.. Oh well it was nice and I got home early so that was a plus.
We were going to go out last night but that wind was so cold and blowing so much that I just went and got a couple of steaks and fixed those with shrimp and baked potatoes, veggies, slaw with poppy seed dressing, rolls and butter and fruit pizza. Really tasted good and we ate at the table. Very nice. Know that I am eatting too much lately, so gotta stop before I gain back any weight. Didnt eat all of my food so I was proud of myself.
Think we are going to Spfld this morning to do a couple of things and eat breakfast out. Thought we had better get some stuff done since it is suppose to get really bad tonight. Hope that it holds off till Josh and Sarah and the boys get to go to Silver Dollar City since she is looking forward to that.
Dawson's program was cute. Left after he performed. Figure I have many years to go up to the school to see the boys in all their stuff.
When I talked with Zek last night the first thing he said is I don't celebrate Christmas, I Hanuaka. Told him that was right and that was fine. Like Amy said as long as he knows the true meaning. She said they celebrate both. Lon shipped the big box of the 8 days of presents to Amy on Friday. Hope it gets there for the 21st which is the first day of Hanuaka. Took 16 dollars to ship it. Just little things for each day. Had the christmas gifts shipped from the companies instead of sending here and then shipping them. Found Kung Foo Panda movie for Dawson and still have to get him something else. Got Portia her pee and poop doll that she wanted and have to decide on what to get Carson. Of course I have books for them. That is really important. Dawson has been making his christmas cards here. On some of them his name he wrote pretty good on others you can't tell what the heck it is.
Got my hair trimmed up yesterday and it sure looks better. Hadnt had it cut since our anniversary party so it was pretty shabby. Now gotta get the color to make it look better.
Well need to get in and do a little housework before I get Lon up early so we can go to town. Woke up at 2:45 this morning and couldnt go back to sleep. Played games and took my shower. My body is so messed up. Wish that it would transform and give me some energy and my mood would improve.
Again congrats to Kyle and Buffy. Another step in their lives. They will be moving on Jan 1 to their new apartment. So, if anyone is handy help is always welcome.
Love to all and I will try and keep up on this. Been in such a funk lately and so angry that it just didn't sound appealing to write or blog. Oh well moods come and go.
