Friday at last

Here are 3 of my reasons that I love being MAMMY!

Okay are you as glad it is Friday as I am????? Been tipping the bottle a little tonight because that freakin place I work at is just crappy and that is saying it mildly. But, it is a job and a pay check and I just hope and pray something better comes along. The job postings don't look all that great and when you know about other clinics there isn't much listed that you want. So, you just keep praying something good will come to those who wait. Got the dishes done and a load of laundry done. In the morning is Dawson's soccer game. I plan on going. Don't know if PaPa will go or not but he sure does need to. Maybe if he is up early he will.

Papa and I are just sort of down right now. Papa's band is not going well. Other than playing at our anniversary party they have not practiced in 4 weeks. Suppose to practice on Sunday but I can tell you I am not holding my breath.

Bought scratch tickets today and only won 4 dollars out of 10 so that put me in the hole. Just can't seem to get a break lately on them. Try to have the positive thinking going on but just can't seem to get over the dull drum hump. Oh well better things to come, right?

So, guess that is about it. No news, just the same old stuff. Have a great weekend everyone. Keep our family in your prayers. And keep the candidates in your thoughts for the coming presidential election. We really need to get some momentum going our way for our pick of the candidates. There is only one sign in town for the opposition and who knows it might vanish. Even Bubba (you know who that is down the street) has a GIGANTIC election sign for the RIGHT party in his yard. He can't be all bad. LOL

The halloween costumes came today.

Here is Shrek. Dawson tried his whole outfit on in Panther Inn after we picked him up but he just put his mask on to show his mom!



Here is our little skunk. He doesn't stink unless he poops his pants! He didn't fight the costume. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it.

Mammy had a little help making them this year. Told Dawson that Shrek was really hard and that I had to have help. We will see what he wants to be next year. He chose Shrek last Halloween after they trick or treated. So, we will see what he will pick for 2009.

Well I have given up trying to get the video down loaded to the computer. All of our pictures are on video of the big anniversary party and Sarah still hasn't been able to get a CD copied of the pictures she took. Trying to find other pictures that people took. I copied a couple off Sarah's blog to put on here and then I have added some of the ones I have taken recently.
Just couldn't face going into work today, so this is my mental health day. LOL
Will get to spend time with Dawson this way by myself and not have to worry about Carson. Think maybe if Dawson is in the mood we will make Halloween cards. Yesterday afternoon Dawson and I were kicking the soccer ball and I kicked it hard and it hit his chest. Don't know if it hurt or just scared him bad and he started crying. I started crying and told him Mammy would never ever hurt him. Man was that a heart string puller. Carson toddled around the yard. I bought shoes and socks for him to have here.
Went to the eye dr. yesterday and my eyes hadn't changed too much except my glasses are now no line bifocals. My contacts are still regular and for close up I have to use readers to see the paper or computer. So in a week we will see how I do with bifocals. Old lady!!!!Sarah really emphasised the old part last night when I told her.
Haven't talked to Amy. May call her today to see when Des will be back for R&R, Know that they will be so glad to be a whole family unit together at least for 2 weeks and that it will be very hard when he has to leave to go back.
Buffy and Kyle are fine. Buffy was afraid she wasn't going to do on a test and she crammed before the test for an hour and a 1/2 and she got a 96. Wish my mind was like a sponge like hers.
Sarah is fine. Josh is working a lot this week because one guy is on vacation.
Haven't talked with Lisa. Kasey is suppose to be going this past weekend to the Battlefield Fire Dept. for a trial position as a fireman. Hope that they hire him because this is what he really wants to do. Sherre talked like they would hire him full time. So keep him in your thoughts.
Then there is Mego. Keep her in your thoughts. She is training real hard to take her state patrol physical part of the test on Oct. 30. There is a new class at the state patrol Academy in July and they are interviewing and selecting for it this month. She has to take a written test and if she passes then the physical part in the afternoon. Wow Megan a state patrolwoman. Remember when she tried out of cheerleader and I made the statement that I believed she had as much of a shot of getting cheerleader as she would being Miss America and damn if she didn't make it in 7th grade and then became such an awesome cheerleader and people in Wimpies recognized her while we were eatting as that great cheerleader on MCE squad. So, she may just pull this off too. Keep her in your thoughts.
Okay to get this done and enjoy my day. May have to be sick tomorrow. Who knows what the day ahead holds.
We can see God's creation by the changing of the leaves, hear his voice in the wind and know that we are all loved. Take a quiet moment to remember that no matter what the situation, we can accomplish anything. May not be easy and may not be immediate, but we always will succeed.
