Last post would not accept the document in the format so I cannot post the actual invitation. I have them stamped and ready to take to the post office today. I don't have the boys because it is RAINING and Josh can't work. So, I have the day off so may just do nothing. Well maybe craft and nap. That sounds like a plan.
The invitation is a 3 fold like a brochure. On the front it says We threw the dice and spun the wheel of marriage 7 years ago and we feel that we hit the jack pot when we became husband and wife.

7 years ago our original wedding invitations were worded with "We're giving it our best shot" That fit us both because at the time Lon was a federal officer and I was a nurse. A lot has changed in 7 years, but through it all our LOVE has remained strong. So, to celebrate we are throwing a party and we really hope that you can make it.

Many people said that it wouldn't last since it was a third marriage for both of us. We have survived ovarian cancer, inches away from a major stroke and life's ups and downs. Sure, there have been some bumps in the road, but we just kept chipping away and allow each other to be their own person in a strong and lasting relationship. Hopefully in another 7 years we can do it again. And 7 years after that. We are blessed with 6 daughters, 6 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
No gifts or cards please We just want you to be with us on this special night.

Hopefully you will find something to eat and drink that will satisfy the tast buds. We will have bbq brisket hamburgers hot dogs potatoes old settlers beans and a variety of finger food.. The bar will be stocked with 3 types of beer, mixed drinks, soda and tea.

That's our big surprise. It was both of our idea to renew our vows. Couldn't believe Lon was all for it. I bought 2 dresses at NBC in Springfield Monday. They were 3.23 a piece. Have to do a little BLING to them to make them what I want and think I know which one I am going to wear. I want the 3 little grandsons to give me away and Portia to be the flower girl. So, girls do the kids have overalls? If not Mammy needs to get them some 'cause that is what I want them to wear. Maybe Portia will wear a denium jumper. Do you see why I want all you girls here. Especially Amy since she wasn't at our wedding. We are REALLY blessed to have such a great family and so many wonderful times together. It should be really fun and I plan on cutting loose. The band really REALLY sounds good so that should be a fantastic highlight of the evening.
Okay everyone get ready to party. Oh yes your mom is real dumb when it comes to burning a CD and I have something in mind but I don't know how the heck to do it. This is going to require Buffy's help PLEASE!
