CELEBRATING PORTIA'S BIRTHDAY

THE DAY STARTED EARLY SO I COULD GET READY BEFORE I HAD TO GET MR. NIGHT OWL UP. HE IS NOT USE TO GETTING STARTED EARLY. WE GOT READY AND WENT AND GOT THE BOYS SINCE SARAH HAD TO WORK. THEN WE WENT TO TOYS R US TO GET THE CAR FOR PORTIA. IT IS THE ONE THE GOES BY FOOT POWER. BUT, THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PINK ONE SO WE GOT THE YELLOW AND BLUE ONE. DAWSON AND CARSON BOTH RODE THE BARNEY TRAIN IN THE LOBBY. THEN WE WENT TO MCDONALDS. DAWSON WANTED A CHEESE BURGER WITH MAYNAIOSE (SPELLING IS WRONG) ONLY AND A ROOT BEER. SO I GOT HIM A KIDS MEAL WITH APPLES. BUFFY MET US THERE SINCE SHE HAD JUST GOT OFF WORK. SHE GAVE KYLE A BREAK SINCE HE WAS OFF AND LET HIM SLEEP. SHE SAID HE HAD BEEN DRUG TO ENOUGH FAMILY THINGS FOR A WHILE. WE ALL ATE AND CARSON GUMMED AN APPLE SLICE. HE REALLY LIKED THAT. THEN WE WENT TO THE PARTY AT THE CHESTERFIELD FAMILY CENTER COMMUNITY ROOM. PORTIA'S THEME WAS LITTLE MERMAID. SHE LIKED ALL THE GIFTS SHE GOT. DAWSON WAS READY FOR CAKE AND ICE CREAM. CARSON SLEPT THROUGH MOST OF IT. THEN WE HAD TO HAUL THE CAR OVER TO KASEY AND SHEREE'S SINCE THERE WASN'T ENOUGH ROOM IN THEIR VEHICLE. SARAH MET US OVER THERE AND TOOK THE BOYS. SHE WENT SHOPPING AFTER SHE GOT OFF WORK AND GOT CARSON SOME SUMMER CLOTHES THAT FIT. THE OTHER THINGS SHE HAD WERE WAY TOO BIG. SHE GOT A REALLY GOOD DEAL ON THEM 60% OFF AND THEY WERE CUTE. WE THEN TOOK BUFFY BACK TO HER TRUCK AND WE CAME ON HOME. WE ARE KEEPING LISA'S 2 DOGS WHILE SHE AND TRINITY ARE IN ARIZONA. WE HAD TO PUT A TARP OVER THE PEN SO THEY WOULD HAVE SHADE AND KEEP THE RAIN OFF. SO WHILE IT WAS SPRINKLING RATHER HARD WE PUT THE TARP ON THE PEN. THEN WE CAME INSIDE HAD COFFEE AND LON LAID DOWN FOR A 3 HOUR NAP AND I PLAYED GAMES. I HAVE LAUNDRY TO DO AND DISHES BUT THEY WILL BE THERE TOMORROW WAITING FOR ME.
IT WAS A GOOD DAY. CAN'T BELIEVE THE 3 OF THEM ARE 3 OR REAL CLOSE TO THREE. DAWSON HAD A MICROPHONE AND SANG US SONGS ON THE WAY TO SPRINGFIELD. ONE WAS PINK AND YELLOW AND ONE WAS INTERESTING ABOUT BLUE GRASS AND THE COWS IN THE FIELD. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE CARSON LET OUT A SQUEAL. FUNNY FUNNY! IT IS SO EASY TO FORGET WHAT IT IS LIKE TO HAVE LITTLE ONES IN THE CAR. PAPA LON ENJOYED DAWSON'S SINGING.
SO........THE DAY IS ALMOST DONE. IT IS ALMOST 10PM AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANYTHING TO EAT SINCE 1. MY TUMMY IS KINDA RUMBLING BUT I DON'T WANT TO COOK AND THE CONVIENCE STORE IS CLOSED SO MAY GO TO BED HUNGRY JUST BECAUSE I AM TO LAZY TO FIX SOMETHING. HAVE A GOOD FIRST DAY OF JUNE EVERYONE.

Last Day of May What does June Hold?

Okay so it has been a very interesting month (if interesting is the correct word).
We celebrated Mother's day, my birthday, grandma's birthday, Kasey had a birthday and then there was me floating everywhere and Lon's surgery. Plus all the other day to day crap that goes on. But, we all survived. Josh made it back safely. And Gma and Gpa are in Tennessee. And Des is doing okay. I have to get him a care package mailed this week. That is an important thing. Tomorrow is June 1 and we wish a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Josh and Sarah. It is #6. Then Portia's birthday is the 7th. We also have Father's day. Wow thats a tough one since Gpa is hard to buy for and Lon is hard to buy for. Especially affording the things they want is not in my budget. Then July brings more birthdays like Zek, Meg and Buffy. August Birthdays are Lisa Zach and Trinity, September is Aunt Bunny, Amy Sheree and Lon and my anniversary (#7). Don't know what happen in October but we have none, zero, zip, nada. Then Nov 1 is our little guy Carson's first birthday. Doesn't seem possible. The Josh and Des. And December brings Sarah and Gpa. And of course Christmas. When we were shopping for Portia's present today in Toys R Us Dawson saw a motorized motorcylce that he wanted Mammy to get for him. I better float a whole bunch to way out of town places to make that kind of money. LOL
Anyway May showers are going on and June brings hot weather. Summer is here and it is sure a lot better than sleet and snow and ice. The deck will be nice to sit on and enjoy the small town happenings.

Back to work today

Just a quick up date. I returned to work today. AND I didn't have to find a sitter for Lon. He promised to behave himself and not do anything. He is not suppose to lift or do anything real physical. He is to take it easy.
Anyway, I worked in Monett with the OB/family practice. I think they ought to call it T, T, and T, which stands for tits, twats and tummies. LOL Didn't get out of there till 5:30 and only had 30 mins. for lunch. Go there tomorrow and then next week Mon through Thurs at Buffalo. I figured how much mileage they are paying me to drive down and it is 35.55 which is about how much gas cost to drive it. If gas goes up more they are going to have to increase the mileage amount. Having my first cup of coffee with the mammy attative and then will play a game and then to bed to do it all again. The schedule for tomorrow looks worse than today so it will be late when I get out tomorrow too. Oh well they are giving me the extra 1.50 for being a float and not even in the float pool. Thats pretty good money. Will update on the weekend. Keep Des in your prayers and be sure and send him a care package. That is what I plan to do this weekend. Also, Sat is Portia's party so will have pictures of that to post. Remember Josh driving his mom and step dad back from New Mexico and for all of our whole family as we each face daily obstacles and issues. I think that Lisa and Trinity leave this weekend to go to Arizona to see Lisa's mom. We are keeping the dogs. Till the weekend..

THE BIG 50

Thanks to my girls I had a great birthday party yesterday evening. Had to cut it short because Lon was hurting and we had to come home. But, we had good food and good drinks and a lot of laughs. My friend Amber from work and her significant other Kelly and daughter Julie came down. That was sooo nice. Sometimes you wonder who your real friends are.
Went to bed early last night since I had partook of many adult beverages. Woke up this AM at 1 and didn't think I could go back to sleep but I finally did and slept till 7ish. Going to do some crafting today and just enjoy the day. Got a birthday card from my friend Lisa and it said LIFE BEGINS AT 50. So, that's what I am going to go on is that my life is just beginning. Hopefully it stays calm for a while.
It has been a heck of a week. One week ago tonight Lon had his surgery and just in time. He has another week of restricted privledges and then has to take it really easy. No lifting or taxing work. He is making lists of all the things he has to get done. It will take several weeks to recover. He hates that. Thanks to Kasey for coming to mow the yard.
My building is here and there is A LOT of stuff to do to it to get it where I can work in it. Electricity and wired, insulation and sheet rock on the walls, air conditioning and heat. But, it will get there in time. The front will need white siding put on like the rest and I want a small porch put on the front.
Megan will be going back home today. It has been a real joy and so normal having her home for this week. Her work didn't have to give her the time off but they did and I am so glad for this. Wish she would move back to the area but I don't think that is going to happen. Ziggy has been a joy and he just played and played with Chessi. Babe sure doesn't like Ziggy and don't know why. She gets along with all the other dogs but not Ziggy. Maggi hates all of them. She's such an old bitch!!!
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR MAKING MY BIG 50 A GREAT TIME. All of you girls for all the hard work and giving me a party. Amy and Zek you were missed and wish you could have been here for it. Think about you often Amy and just hang in there. I know it is tough but you are made of good stock (strong and determined) and you will survive. Sheree and Lisa both had to work or they would have been there too.
Next Sat is Portia's party for her 3rd birthday and then in July we will go to Tennessee for Zek's 3rd birthday. Sarah and Josh have an anniversary coming up and then it will be Meg and Buffy's birthdays. And then Amy's birthday and then our anniversary. 7 years. And then birthdays for Josh and Des and then Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Man, the days just fly by when you get OLD!!!! lol
Be sure and keep Des in your prayers. Keep Megan in your thoughts as she drives home. It is a busy holiday on the roads and lots of people are not paying attention when they drive.
