MAY DAY TOMORROW

I see you all!!!! Just can't believe that tomorrow is the first day of May. Time is flying by and all the grandkids are growing so fast. Ryan just turned 14. I remember when Lon and I got together that he was a little guy.

Sounds like Amy is going to keep busy with things while Des is gone. I have begun to fly the flag out on the deck and will continue while Des is deployed. I thank God that we have "GOOD MEN & WOMEN" who go into harms way to keep our country free and safe. My thoughts and prayers are with Des and Amy and Zek. Bet that Zek takes to the water in the swim lessons. And it is great that he will be going to pre-school/daycare on base. Being around kids is very, very important.

Dawson is going to be in t-ball this summer. That is great too. And in the fall starting pre-school. Carson will be 6 months old tomorrow. When I watched the boys last night so Sarah could go to the City Council meeting I read both boys at least 10 books. Carson wanted to help turn the pages. He just listened when I read. Dawson and I had ice cream (mint choc. chip) after I put Carson to bed.

Portia was so cute last Sat. when we went to Kasey and Sheree's house. She would walk around the back yard and pick wild flowers and dandilions and just sing little made up songs about pretty flowers. She sat on my lap and told me what Mammy and Papa could get her for her birthday. A princess toy, a crown, a new purse with money in it, jewelery and a blue car. Doesn't want much does she.

Triny and Lisa were here on Sunday. Triny needed some scrap book paper to go along with her English project. So, she looked through the 3 drawers full that I have and found some.

Gma drove over this weekend. That was good. She folded my clothes for me so that helped. They got the new shed done and it looks great. I worked on cleaning out one of the metal buildings and got things organized. Be glad when the 2 metal buildings are tore down. Will make it more attractive. Also, got word that FINALLY my building is going to get moved over here. YEAH!!!!! only been 2 years.

We have a new granddog. Jo is a lab mix that Meg and Jason got. She looks cute from all the pictures I have. Megan is struggling right now so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Buffy and Kyle came by after church Sunday. Kyle is up for a manager job in the frozen section. He gets the official word tomorrow but Buffy said today that he got it. Way to go Kyle. They really make a cute couple. Buffy will have finals soon as will Megan.

And for me I am still working in the unknown even though I got the word from the Dr. that they will not let him come back. So, I am awaiting the "You have 30 days to find a job or you are out of the system". I have been on a few interviews but nothing yet. I looked into the float pool today. It is part time 3 days a week and they pay mileage over 40 miles. And it pays a $1.50 more an hour. It is an option. If I took it I would request Tues, Wed and Thurs to work and have a 4 day weekend every week. I am sure I could work more if I wanted because they are always needing float nurses in the clinics. It is sure an option, but I have 2 more to check into before I make up my mind. Have to get a jump start on these because I don't know when they will give me my 30 days.

Going to make May Baskets for the people at the office. Haven't done that for years. Use to be when I was little that was a cool thing to do on May Day. Don't think that the practice is done much anymore. Oh well something new but old.

Time to close. With the price of gas and the food at the grocery store going up and all the uncertain times we all face, it is important to remember that we are a family that has weathered tough, rough times and have celebrated in good times. We have so many joys and so much love in our family. A lot of people don't have that. Say a prayer of thanksgiving in your own way for what we have. It does a body good!!!
