Up before the Rooster

Can you believe I was up at 3 this morning. Papa Lon was too!!! We watched a movie and now he is back in bed and I am on the computer until he gets up and has the stock market up and going.

Maggi and Babe enjoyed being back in mommy and daddy's bed. Gave Babe a bath yesterday when we got home. Maggi needs one now. Lots of rain around yesterday evening and tornados, but nothing close to us.

Going to craft today and see if I can get some projects finished. At least I will have a big mess I am sure. Glad to be home and not punching a time clock. Maybe my face won't look so worn. (At least not as worn!)

I am planning a big 4th of July celebration. So everyone get ready for that!!!

Here's a few pictures to enjoy.

CLARKSVILLE AND BACK HOME

MAMMY BLOWING BUBBLES ZEK'S WAY!!! He was laughing and having a blast. It was SUCH FUN!

ZEK THE BUILDER. CAN HE FIX IT? YES HE CAN!

We had a safe journey down and back. 411 miles down. The house was really easy to find for all that go see them. Beautiful house in a great new sub-division. People walk their dogs up and down the street and it is well patroled by the police and there are a couple of county sheriff's patrols that live on the street.

Ezekiel is talking so much more and in just the short time that they have been there he knows all the different places, and he knows the way out of the sub-division. Our first night there Amy and Des took us to the Black Stallion Brew Pub. It was great food and beer and Mr. Zek is a real flirt. Let me tell you he goes for the college women. He was flirting with a whole table of college women golfers. We were also sitting right by the front window and he flirted with every girl or woman that came by. What a Romeo!!!!!

We went shopping on Tuesday and got the big bubble wand and new trucks. Had a great time playing outside with them. He can make some great faces and look mad. He can also head butt. He takes his naps really good too. Tues night Zek and I had some arts and crafts time. I took stamps, stickers and card making stuff. I have something that I will finish for him and mail back wrapped for his mom and dad. He gave them the anniversary card that night since we aren't sure when Des will be deployed. He had a great time doing it. We really had to use the baby wipes to get the ink off. I was afraid that it wouldn't all come off but it did except for a little bit on his foot and Amy found that when she gave him a bath. OOPS!!!!!

Amy, Zek and I had our pictures made on Wed. morning. There is a story that goes along with it but I won't go into now. But, if you know me and I say I am going to write a letter, you can imagine I was mad. Anyway the picture will be good and the ones of Zek by himself are really great. We will call it his 3 year old pictures.

We went to the base and had a wonderful lunch at the buffet there. Amy and I got Tennessee hoodies (Orange) Some guy at the buffet ask us if Orange and Black went with everything. Amy said you'll have to ask my mom. He ask me and I said no and he said thank you. Orange and black are the Tennessee Volunteers colors. His buddy is a big fan and he says it goes with everything.

Papa Lon was sick and slept most of the time. He did get to spend a little time with Zek.

We did our usual stunt and left really early this morning so we wouldn't have to say good bye. It was a great time at Amy, Des and Zek's house and not that long trip like to Georgia. So, if you have a couple of days go see them. Des doesn't know when he will be deployed. He got some bad news that his grandmother had a stroke. So keep them in your prayers.

Again we thank the Hoorn's for wonderful hospitality. Their new home is beautiful and has the feeling of a real happy home. Zek is such a character. He has such funny looks and he will tell you that a price on something is 49.99. Makes me laugh to think about still.

Not sure about my job. Will maybe know something tomorrow. Good to be home and Maggi was so glad to see me when I picked her up from Gma and Gpa's. Thank you so much Sarah and Josh for taking care of Babe and Newbee in the beagle pen.

It is great to be gone, but it is good to be home to our environment and our surroundings. Our kids have their own lives and own way of doing things and so do we. Thats how it is suppose to be.
