WE ARE LEAVING ON THE MORNING OF THE 24TH TO GO TO CLARKSVILLE TO SEE AMY! WE WON'T BE THERE LONG BUT IT IS WORTH IT. LOOKS LIKE ABOUT AN 8 HOUR DRIVE. OF COURSE THERE IS NO STRAIGHT SHOT TO GET THERE. BUT, HOW MANY FIGHTS CAN LON AND I HAVE ABOUT THE MAP? LOL
JUST A 1/2 DAY TODAY AND THAT IS A GOOD THING. RAIN IN THE FORECAST AND THAT SUCKS, BUT IT IS SURE BETTER THAN SNOW AND ICE.
THE ONLY NEWS IS THAT LON HAS DECIDED THAT HE IS SELLING THE 29 AND GIVING THE BEAGLES AWAY EXCEPT BABE. THE BEAGLES WILL PROBABLY GO THIS WEEKEND. JAKE AND SUSIE ARE GOING TO A GUY THAT IS GOING TO BEGIN RAISING BEAGLES AND NEEDS EXPERIENCED DOGS TO TEACH LITTLE ONES HOW TO RUN. NEWBIE IS GOING TO WENDAL FOR HIS FARM. SO WE KNOW THAT THEY WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF. HE HAS REALLY THOUGHT THIS OVER AND SAID THAT IT IS SO UNFAIR TO THEM TO NOT BE RUNNING. PROBABLY LIST THE 29 ON THE SAME PLACE THAT WE DID THE 42 AND IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG TO SELL IT THERE. HE HAS THE STUDIO ALMOST PUT BACK TOGETHER SO HE CAN START RECORDING AGAIN.
HOPE EVERYONE GOT THEIR EASTER CARDS. I HAVE SOME OF THE GIRLS AT THE OFFICE STARTING TO SCRAP BOOK. EVEN AMBER WHO IS NOT CRAFTY AT ALL IS STARTING TO GET INTO IT. OF COURSE THEY THINK I AM CRAZY WHEN SOMETHING DIFFERENT COMES IN AS PACKING MATERIAL IN A BOX AND I SAY "OH I COULD CREATE BLAH BLAH BLAH OUT OF THAT". THERE WAS AN EMAIL GOING AROUND ABOUT WHAT YOU WOULD TAKE TO ON A STRANDED ISLAND AND THEY SAID CRAFT STUFF FOR ME SINCE I WOULD CREATE STUFF OUT OF WHAT WAS ON THE ISLAND. SAID THAT I MIGHT STARVE BUT I WOULD HAVE FUN CRAFTING.
THE CLOCK SAYS IT IS TIME TO GET IN THE SHOWER AND GET MY OLD BODY MOVING. SO FRIENDS AND FAMILY, HAVE A GOOD ONE AND MAYBE I WILL HAVE NEW PICTURES SOON.
BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE OZARKS
SOON IT WILL BE TIME TO USE THE LAWN MOWER AND ENJOY ALL OUR FAMILY TIMES ON THE DECK. I WANT TO DECORATE OUT THERE THIS YEAR. HOBBY LOBBY HAS SOME FANTASTIC COLORFUL THINGS. SO HOPEFULLY I WILL GET THAT ACCOMPLISHED.
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL OUT SIDE TODAY. 75 DEGREES. OF COURSE I WAS A WORK BUT DID GO OUT AND TAKE SMOKE BREAKS AND OUT AT LUNCH. AND WITH THE TIME CHANGE I GET HOME AND IT IS STILL DAYLIGHT.
TALKED WITH AMY TONIGHT. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THINGS PUT UP IN THEIR HOUSE. SHE SAID SHE AND ZEK WENT OUTSIDE TODAY AND HE RAN AND RAN AND RAN. HE HAS BEEN INSIDE TOO LONG. HE TOLD HIS MOM HE WANTED TO GO HOME. HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS HOME. DES WENT BACK YESTERDAY TO WORK AND CAME HOME TODAY AND TOLD AMY THAT HE WOULD PROBABLY BE DEPLOYED REAL SOON 2 OR 3 WEEKS. WE AS A FAMILY NEED TO KEEP NOT ONLY DES IN OUR PRAYERS, BUT AMY AND ZEK TOO. THIS IS GOING TO BE A CHALLENGING AND STRESSFUL TIME FOR THEIR FAMILY. HOPEFULLY PAPA LON AND I CAN GO THE WEEK OF THE
24TH AND SEE THEM. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE AMY'S NEW HOME. IT IS REALLY EXCITING FOR HER.
WHEN I GOT TO WORK TODAY I WAS THE FIRST ONE THERE. OF COURSE I USUALLY AM. THE DR. WAS SICK TODAY AND HE CALLED ME 10 MINUTES AFTER I GOT THERE. WELL OF COURSE THAT MEANT I HAD TO START CALLING PATIENTS AND RE-ARRANGING APPOINTMENTS. NOT MY JOB BUT I WAS THE ONE THAT WAS THERE. THINK I WAS JUST AS BUSY TODAY AS A SLOW DAY WHEN HE IS THERE. THE PHONE WAS RINGING NON STOP AND THE PATIENTS WERE SO DEMANDING. ANYWAY I GOT OUT OF THERE ABOUT 4. I WENT BY AND MAILED EVERYONE'S EASTER CARD AND ZEK'S EASTER BASKET TO HIM. AND SPEAKING OF EASTER; I AM HAVING A FAMILY EASTER DINNER ON THE 22ND EVENING. THAT WILL BE AFTER DAWSON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY. YOU CAN COME EAT AND LEAVE OR STAY OR LOAD A PLATE UP AND TAKE IT WITH YOU. IT'S ALL UP TO YOU. THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BETTER THIS WAY SO EVERYONE CAN DO THEIR OWN THING ON EASTER AND BUFFY HAS TO WORK SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE A GOOD THING.
I GOT DAWSON'S BIRTHDAY PRESENTS DELIVERED TODAY. IT IS BOB THE BUILDER STUFF. THE LUNCH BOX IS SOOOOOOO CUTE. AND THE TALKING TOOL BELT IS CUTE TOO. HAVEN'T PUT THE BATTERIES IN IT YET AND THAT REMINDS ME I BETTER INCLUDE A BUNCH OF DOUBLE A BATTERIES. SEEMS THERE IS A LOT OF STUFF THAT TAKES DOUBLE A BATTERIES.
PAPA ABOUT HAS THE RECORDING STUDIO PUT BACK TOGETHER AFTER ALL THE INSULATION AND DRY WALL AND PAINTING. HE IS SURE HURTING IN HIS ARMS AND LEGS. A LOT OF WORK BUT HE DID IT AND IT LOOKS FANTASTIC.
WELL I AM GOING TO RELAX FOR A BIT BEFORE I GET HORIZONTAL IN THE BED. I DID THE BILLS TONIGHT. OH WHAT FUN.

GOOD OLD AND I MEAN OLD MAMMY AND PAPA Well March is here and we have had one snow. It didn't affect us bad but it did in Springfield. I got stuck on the highway about 10 miles from the house. Two big trucks had jack knifed and the traffic was backed up.
Papa Lon turned the big 65. We went to Sheree and Kasey's for a birthday dinner on March 1st. Had chicken enchiladas and they were really good.
Everyone is back at work now so it is not quite as hectic. Friday morning was a slow day (well 1/2 day for me) and I got my desk top cleaned off and all the lab letters mailed. That made me feel better.
Sat was the city council meeting. Sarah is now our city clerk. Elections are in April and Papa Lon is running for a 2 year seat on City Council. He was appointed after one of the aldermen resigned. We will see if he gets elected.
I had Carson and Dawson Sat morning while Sarah was at the council meeting. Dawson made Easter Cards and Carson woke up while we were making them, so needless to say the cards are not real well put together. Dawson informed me that he was an awesome skater. He had bunny milk and french toast (without the crusts). He is really getting so big.
He is having Bob the Builder for his theme for his birthday. I just bought some Bob the Builder presents for him on line so I wouldn't have to shop for them. Easy that way.
Amy and Des bought a house in Clarksville. It is brand new and about 10 miles from the base. Their furniture was delivered Friday and they were getting a snow storm. Welcome back to the snow guys. After being in Hawaii and Georgia this is a real change for them. Zek pees in a cup. Who does that sound like? G-pa Great!!!!!
Hopefully after Easter we will be able to go see them. You know that April will start tornado chasing season for Papa.
I made Gma Toot a spring wreath for her front door. She was really pleased with it. Looks bright and colorful and the center comes out so after Easter it can be removed. Started it Sat. night about 9 and by midnight I was done. Took it over yesterday and put it up. She even came down the stairs and walked outside to see it. Gpa even thought it was good.
I worked on cards and crafts a little for myself this weekend and didn't do too much housework or laundry. Will do it a little at a time this week.
That's about the quick wrap up for now. Going to play a game and then get ready for work. Oh boy another fun week. HA HA
Not doing so hot about keeping up. Hope the kids and grandkids had fun at the circus. Papa supplied them with the tickets. He gets them being a Shriner.
