SURE GLAD THIS PAST WEEK IS OVER

Okay it is Sunday and the day of love passed this week. I got a lovely bouquet of a dozen roses which were beautiful and special. But, the rest of the week wasn't anything to brag about. Monday it was terrible weather and I left really early and got to work and it was sleeting, raining and sleeting some more. Needless to say we started calling patients and canceling appointments. I left about 9 I think and it took me about an hour to get home. Oh, I forgot there was a bright spot to that day. I had Carson and Dawson and that was great. Carson took a long nap and Dawson watched videos, played, ate his Valentine cupcakes and we read some books. Mama Sarah came when she got off work to get them. She said the roads weren't too bad then. But, they were predicting more. I kissed and hugged my little men good bye. It wasn't 2 minutes and Papa came up from the garage and told me that Sheree and Kasey were bringing Zach out to spend the night. Since he didn't have his "special school for deliquents" he had to have an adult with him and Kasey and Sheree had to work. Well the last time it was fine, but,.........THIS TIME WAS HELL!!!!! Papa and I went to bed about 10:15. I figured I wouldn't be going to work because of the weather on Tues.. I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be because my car had been stolen. That's right Zach stole it, along with some darvocet and drank a little of my coffee liquor. No drivers lisc., DUI, and a stolen car. He is on probation for stealing alcohol from a grocery store, plus all the other crap he has done. We wake up to a call at 2:15am from the sheriff's department. My car is in the ditch on the highway and will have to have a wrecker to get it out. Needless to say I am mad and you should have seen Papa. So, I called into work and told them why I wouldn't be there. Friday they finally had their little group meeting with his counselors and the probation officer. Looks like he is just going to get a slap on the hand. Oh, maybe 30 days in a locked down group home and then back to Sheree and Kasey and have to be treated like a 3 year old with adult supervision. What the heck does it take? It is tearing Kasey and Sheree apart, they can't spend any quality time with Portia because of him. Papa talked to the tree hugging probation officer (who by the way has a bumper sticker that says Impeach Bush on his car) and they want to keep the lines of communication open between Zach and his parents, and that hard punishment has been shown not to work, and locking him up brings down his self worth. What a bunch of RUBBISH! Papa was trying to hold his cool, but he came back a few times with some words about prison and convicts and out of control criminals which he said Zach was. Sorry folks, but this Mammy ain't done yet. I am so mad and I don't care what it takes justice is going to be served. I don't care if I have to write a million and one letters to everyone that could even possible listen to me or make a zillion phone calls. This is the liberal society of don't spank your kids. No wonder the teachers in the schools have no control. It is the rules of the justice system that wants to talk nicely and let them express their feelings. Feelings my behind. Get their attention like an old missouri mule with a 2 by 4 and then give them a licking behind the barn and duck tape them to the tree and cane them and then put them in some decent clothes and shave their heads and make them act the right way. Oh I am mad and the more I think about it the madder I get. I may be liberal in some areas but in others I am a CONSERVATIVE and believe that parents should have the right to spank, and CONTROL their kids as they see fit and if they misbehave then the punishment should fit the crime. And if I am elected............GET MY POINT???
Then the rest of the week was busy at work with just the front desk Paulette and me the Nurse and the Doctor. I put in enough hours in 3 days to make up time from Tues.
So, let's just hope that this week is better. Yes, I am still boiling and can't believe that Lon just let it go. This old witch hasn't! So, when you go to the polls in November to vote, think about what you want for our country. Take a good hard look at what each canidate stands for and what you think they can do to make it a better land. Right now I am really not sure there is a good canidate. But, time will tell.
Oh my MRI showed 3 disc in my T-spine that are buldging but no herniation. And a lot of arthritis and a few bone spurs. Basically, just gotta live with the pain off and on until or if they ever herniate. That's just really swell too!!!!
Have a good week. Love to all..........mammy
