Presenting Dawson the Snowman

Megan and Jason's House The LONG driveway
Jack the Lab
Many many miles I traveled this weekend, but sure am glad I did. I had a GREAT time at Megan and Jason's home. Let me tell you that they live in the country away from everyone. It is really beautiful out there and peaceful except for the train that goes through across the dirt road and all the animal sounds. Their drive way is long. This morning there was a great deal of frost on the windshield. That was sure different. We didn't get up to Meg's unniversity since it was homecoming week and knew that it would be crowded. I am already to go back up there and explore some more. I left about 7 this morning and stopped 3 times to get coffee and 2 of those to let the coffee out. Wanted to leave before they got up since it would really be hard to say good-bye. As a Mom I just had to see for myself that my girl was okay. And she is. You know Jason is her first true love and that holds a special place in her heart. So, family you are going to have to travel to visit her. She has plenty of room and it is not a bad drive at all. We visited the little towns around and she is about 5 miles from a big town where they have all the fast food places, a little WalMart and a Dollar Store. I feel better now knowing that everything is really okay. I wondered but learned alot and talked with both of them last night. They shared some insight into what they learned from growing up in dysfunctional families and how they can make it better for themselves. As for all of us every day life is a struggle, but when you love someone and make up your mind to do something, and a lot of prayers, in the end everything works out. Ziggy is such a cutie and Jack the lab is really sweet.
Then I came home and read the sunday paper and took Dawson's snowman costume down to try on him. Talk about praying that it fit. Well it did. Just have to work on the carrot and how it will fit on his nose. Took the face paint down too, so his face will be white. Not sure that he will wear mittens. The picture isn't too good, but you will get the idea. He wasn't scared about putting it over his head. His daddy is taking off Wed. to take him trick or treating.
It was really good also to get home. Maggi was glad to see me and Lon was too. He was so happy that it really tired him out and he had to take a nap. LOL So, he is asleep on the couch and I am adding to my blog. Need to finish up and complete this and get something to eat. Only had coffee since last night and my belly is telling me "I'M EMPTY"!
The thought for me today is: When in doubt, check it out. Keep the good times close, and to those you must toast. Bad thoughts just clog the mind and burden the soul with clutter,
take this from ole' mammy the mutter! LOL Think I might need a nap????????????
